WJHL news anchor Bailey no longer with TV station

JOHNSON CITY — Jim Bailey, who most recently was a news anchor at the local CBS affiliate WJHL-TV, is no longer at the Johnson City television station.
Bailey, who had been at the station for about 10 years, most recently anchored the 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. weekday newscasts.
No reason was provided for Bailey’s departure. Bailey’s last day of employment at the CBS affiliate was Monday.
Contact information for Bailey was not immediately available.
Another local longtime television news anchor left his position earlier this year. Steve Hawkins, who was the WCYB-TV news director and anchor, left that station in March. He had been with WCYB for nearly 35 years.
Hawkins has since taken a job as news director at the Bristol Broadcasting Co.
