Construction crews are demolishing the old Jack’s Restaurant on Main Street in downtown Kingsport. The restaurant property, along with the adjacent old Kingsport Foundry land, was acquired by the Kingsport Economic Development Board. The property is being cleared to make way for future development. The old Kingsport Foundry was one of three industries located in the Riverview Community; the other two were General Shale and Eastman Chemical.
