• KINGSPORT — Practices for Fun Fest’s “Thriller,” “ABC” and “We are the World” performances will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Civic Auditorium April 22 and 29, May 6, 13 and 20, and June 3, 17 and 24. The performances during Fun Fest will be July 16 at the downtown Mardi Gras, July 19 at Rhythm in Riverview at 6 p.m., and July 22 at the Renaissance Center at 10:30 a.m. All youths ages 6 to 17 years old are invited to participate. No audition is required. The event is being sponsored by New Vision Youth and the Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department community services division.
