Got this note from Charlotte Young Maxwell Saturday, 12/1/07..
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
Good morning,
Calvin I spoke with Mom Jill (Ellis) this morning and she is to have a
surgery Monday (12/3/07), ( don't know what time) but I think we as the
DHS sons and daughters need to rally and donate blood at the hospital
for her, whatever type you are, that would replace her type that is
going to be used, which she said was O-positive, and would eliminate some of
the financial burden on the family. We both know that insurances are good
but still leaves you with a hefty balance.
I did some calling and here are the hours the blood donor lab is open:
Monday and Thursday 10:30-6 PM
Tues-Wed & Friday 8:30 -4 PM
The direct number is 423-224-5888 and the address is the Blood Donor Center-Marsh Regional, located at 914 Broad Street in Kingsport, so I thought that since you have all the emails for the alumni and everybody reads on a regular basis, you
would be the one to get the word out and see how many are willing to
donate. It is pain free, and there is no better way to show your
appreciation and admiration for someone that to do this small, but meaning full
act of kindness.
Charlotte
FOLKS, PLEASE CALL AND SCHEDULE A TIME TO DONATE.
ALSO, KEEP THE ELLIS FAMILY IN YOUR PRAYERS.
Calvin
