Thelma Watterson Receives Award

KINGSPORT — The American Chemical Society’s Committee on Technician Affairs has announced that Thelma Watterson, senior laboratory technician at Eastman Chemical Co. is the recipient of the 2010 National Chemical Technician Award.

Watterson is the 22nd recipient of the annual National Chemical Technician Award, which is awarded for technical and communication skills, leadership, safety, reliability, teamwork, publications, and presentations. Additionally, professional and community activities are considered.
The award is sponsored by Thomas H. Lane, 2009 American Chemical Society President and The Dow Corning Corp.
