He was preceded in death by five brothers, Chester, James, David, Arbury and Jimmy; one sister, Mrs. Mary Carpenter Phillips.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Chris Cassandra Singleton Carpenter;
children, Tyrone Horton, Thomas Terrell Carpenter, Antonia Phillips, Kenny McKinney, Nakita Singleton, Octavius Carpenter Logan, Malecka Carpenter, Shanequa Carpenter and Tara Carpenter; four grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Dorothy (Herman) Logan; four brothers, James Carpenter of Anchorage Alaska, Larry, Clifton and William Carpenter, all of Kingsport; three sisters, Ms. Julia Ann Lee (Douglass) Sarah Mae Smith and Eula Harris, all of Kingsport.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m until the hour of service today at Robinson Funeral Services.
Funeral services will be conducted at the chapel of the funeral home today at 2 p.m. with Rev. Michael Williams officiating.
Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery.
