A message to all members of the Ebony Club Alumni Association:
I pray that all is going well for you, the members of the Ebony Club Alumni Association. I just looked over the latest activity, and it feels good knowing that many of you are still using the site to connect with your old neighbors and classmates. We're up to 181 members and counting.
In a previous e-mail, I indicated a conference call would be held to determine if it will be feasible for us to hold an Ebony Club (Alumni Association) Fashion & Talent Show in February or July 2010. I would like to have this conference call on Monday, October 26th at 9:00 p.m. If there is a better date that works for you, let me know. Again, the purpose of this meeting is to determine the feasibility of putting together a fashion and talent show. I will send over the conference call number in a future e-mail.
We also need to garner membership support of the Virgealia "Jill" Ellis Scholarship Fund, which we talked about during our July reunion. Mama Ellis touched all of our lives to the tireless work that she did on our behalf. Let's do our part to make sure her legacy is shared with future graduates of the Kingsport City Schools through the awarding of scholarships.
Peace, and Afro grease.
