Food for the soul

New Vision Youth, the Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department, and the Riverview Boys and Girls Club hosted the fifth annual Soul Food Gathering Friday at the Civic Auditorium. The free event included a sampling of foods such as chicken, deer meat, chicken gizzards, meat loaf, barbecued pigs feet, salmon patties, whiting, neck bones, ham, soup beans, turkey and dressing, a variety of side dishes, desserts and beverages.
